やってしまった！

一旦チェックアウトされたお客様が、預かっていた荷物だけを取りに来られた。その時、ちょうど同じタイミングでチェックインのお客様が入室された。通路が荷物でいっぱいになる。動けない。これはやばい。すると、チェックアウトされたお客様が『これからお泊まりされるのですか？私は今日までここに滞在していましたが、この宿は本当に快適で安全です。私が今まで泊まった宿の中でも最高でした。心置きなくお過ごしください』

お客様がそんな言葉をかけてくれ頭を深々と下げてくださった。本当なら苦情の一つも出て当然の場面。それをお客様は私の代わりに頭まで下げてくださったのだ。その姿に私は感動し涙が出そうになった。その言葉を微笑んで聞いてくださっている新しいお客様の姿もありがたかった。それぞれが違う国籍、だけど人を思いやる気持ちは尊い。庭の青紅葉が、喜んでくれているかの様にゆさゆさと揺れている。こんな素敵なゲスト達に感謝し、より一層精進しよう！と誓った。

Seeing the guest speaking such words warmed my heart. I once again thought that I had to do my best. ”
